Oxley Uniting Church will be holding an Alpha series starting on Friday 21 April 2023. You’re invited to join us for a meal, film and conversation, from 6.30-8.30pm. The series will run for about 10 weeks, but you are welcome to come and try and see if it is a fit for you.
Explore life, faith and meaning at Alpha
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions for anyone who wants to explore life, spirituality and the Christian faith, ask questions and share their point of view, in a relaxed, non-judgmental environment. Alpha is free and everyone is welcome.
What to expect at Alpha
Connection At Alpha we meet in person over a meal, and start with time to connect, relax and build friendships.
Content Watch a film episode on a topic of faith, designed to inspire conversation. They explore the big issues of life and faith, addressing questions like “Who is Jesus?”, “Why and how do I pray?” and “How does God guide us?
Conversation One of the most important parts of any Alpha is the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic, and discuss in a small group. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say. It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an open and friendly environment.
